Memorial Garden Bench Commission

In April last year we were commissioned to make a garden bench for a much-loved mother, and mother-in-law, who had passed away. We based it on a sculptural bench made many years ago for a show at Kew Gardens. It is now gracing a garden overlooking the North Atlantic coast in a small village. The font and text was chosen by the customer, and the lettering was hand-carved into the backrest. As with all our outdoor benches, it is made of locally sourced sweet chestnut and oak. The durabiity of these native woods is second-to-none. The bench will age and silver gracefully, slowly becoming a treasured part of the environment.
