Small Brown Oak Side Table with Ash Legs
A simple, organic green wood stool, finished to the highest standards.
Materials:
The chocoloate brown oak top has been carefully travished - a technique using a tool called a chair makers travisher - which leaves a tactile, textured finish. The gentle ripples in the surface catch the suns rays when slanting light falls on the piece. Legs are cleaved from a carefully selected log whilst wet, shaped by hand, then seasoned and jointed to the well-seasoned top. This leaves a wonderful tactile finish and showcases the truly hand-made quality of this piece. Made in our Devon workshop from locally sourced ash. This piece came from a tree felled due to dieback last year. Finished with a blend of natural oils to a durable, satin finish.
